4th Year PhD Student, Dr. Maric Lab

Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering

I am a PhD student from Ellington, CT. After enjoying STEM courses in high school, I decided that I wanted to continue my education as a chemical engineer and I decided to stay local and join the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at UConn. After graduating in 2014, I decided that I wanted to continue my graduate career and obtain a PhD. Knowing the quality of the professors in the department and the wide range of research performed at UConn, I decided to remain at UConn, where I joined the research lab of Dr. Radenka Maric. In addition to my research on fuel cell manufacturing, I also spend time researching diabetes monitoring for a startup business that I founded in 2016 from funds awarded from UConn’s Peter J. Werth Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation along with Connecticut Innovations. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling and cheering on the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, and all UConn sports teams.
