I grew up in Wethersfield, the oldest town in Connecticut (where that fact is repeatedly taught in history classes). For academics I revieced my Bachelor’s from UConn, Master’s from Columbia University, and am currently working on my PhD. The culture of the Department here at UConn is the main reason I decided to come back. For my research, I am working with Dr. Leslie Shor on microfluidic devices for biological and agriculture technology applications. The majority of my time is spent optimizing 3D printed devices for use with various projects. Outside of lab, I enjoy bad movies, good board games, and great beer. Also cooking and building/customizing computers.
